Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

reaffirmation

I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy which included my home. The finance company then gave my attorney an affirmation agreement. After some consideration I decided to do it. My attorney and I signed the agreement, which I have copies of, and moved back to my home. A few weeks later I found out my attorney never filed them with anyone, his secretary was out sick for a week and he forgot. Now my home is gone because after the discharge the finance co. wouldn't do the agreement again. I'm not sue happy, but I am devistated and hurt. Do I have any legal recourse?

Re: reaffirmation

You may. A couple of the issues you have to address include whether or not you could have continued to make the payments after the filing of the Chapter 7 and what injury you sustained as a result of failure to file.
