Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

Can I sell or get rid of property after bankruptcy

I hope someone will or can answer my question. My bankruptcy was discharged in 2001. My question is I have this boat it was included in the bankruptcy, but the bank refused to pick it up. I have called then to come and get the boat but they tell me it is not worth there time and won't pick it up. One other time I called to see if they would release it to sell they told me no. I told them again to come and get there boat, again they told me no. I then asked, well who's boat is it? Is it mine or yours? They told me it was there boat but I was responsible for it and could not sell it, I was stuck with it. Is this true? Can I sell it or am I responsible for this boat the rest of my life? One other thing I have the registration to the boat but I have no title to the trailer. That is what they have is the title to the trailer, but in the state of TN you don't need a title for a trailer. The boat was purchased in LA. It has been 4 years what to do? Thank you for any help in advanced.
