Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Tennessee

Discriminiation

my husband was made fun of by employers because he is unable to read. he was told he was too old for his job and cursed at frequently. this came after he fell and needed medical attention and was told he could not go to the doctor, which he did any way. he got so upset at the way he was degraded, he finally quit. does he not deserve some kind of justice? they told him he just needed his wife to get him some ''dope pills''. i am a nurse and resent the implications of this statement.please help!!!!!!

Re: Discriminiation

Your husband may very well have both an age discrimination claim and or claims under the worker's compensation law or the Family Medical Leave Act or the American's with Disabilities Act. To give you a better answer I need more infomation. When did he quit? How did he quit? Did he put his resignation in writing?

Please feel free to give me a call. 901.527.5522 or email me at [email protected]. I also have a website dedicated to age discrimination, www.agerights.com. Many people have found it helpful to evaluate their situations. Whether you seek help from me or another attorney, do so immediately. Time will act to destroy whatever claim your husband may have. Good luck!
