Lawsuit cannot be stopped

Tennessee has a six-year statute of limitations on breach of contract, including a contract to pay off a car loan. If you want to stop the lawsuit, you will likely have to settle with the Plaintiff. The Plaintiff is entitled to go after your wife for judgment, because she most likely signed a promissory note when she took out the car loan.
