Legal Question in Consumer Law in Tennessee

Wedding pictures never received

I was married July 17, 2004 in Georgia and retained the services of a photographer from Tennessee. Our contract was for around $1500. They came to our wedding, arriving about 1:30 pm and stayed through around 10:00pm that night taking many candids and other photos. We also allowed them to to have dinner and drinks from our reception. Due to my husband leaving for the US Navy 3 weeks after our wedding, 2 moves, becoming pregnant, job searching, my husband going on deployments, having our baby, and procrastination on my part, we failed to get our wedding pictures picked out and ordered. We then received a call around the end of summer 2005 that they would delete our pics if we didn't order. I then placed an order, tracked the delivery, and through the Postal Service confirmed delivery and now a few months later we cannot get in touch with them and have not received any pictures. There was NOTHING in the contract stipulating a time frame we must order, and as part of the contract we were to also receive the negatives as ours to keep. The photographer has already received our money, we owe him nothing more, we simply just want our pictures. Do I have a case, where should I go from here?

Re: Wedding pictures never received

You should consult with a local attorney about the possibility of suing them in GA under the GA long-arm statute.
