If you cannot afford a hired attorney, ask the Court to appoint the Public Defender lawyer to represent you.

On your own, you can do the following:

1 - Go to this web site, follow the instructions. They will tell you exactly what you need to do to get a valid license.

2 - Start doing what is required. For example, if you have unpaid tickets, start paying on them. If you are supposed to go to DUI school, go to the school.

3 - Every District Attorney (and judge) I have ever met will give you a reasonable period of time to "clean up" your license.

4 - If you do the right thing, and can come into court with a valid driver's license (even if it takes a few months) the charge can usually be dismissed, or at worse reduced to "Driving Without a Valid License in Possession" for a $10 fine and court costs and no loss of license.
