2 - If he is required to register on the Sex Offender Registry and does not (including periodic updates) than any law enforcement officer can swear out a warrant. In most counties of Tennessee, there are one or more deputies whose full time mission is to research those persons in the county who are required to register on the Sex Offender registry (SOR) and to prosecute those who do not register/update.

A violation of the SOR requirements is a Class E Felony offense (T.C.A. �40-39-208) and requires a minimum sentence of 90 days for the first offense, 180 days for the second offense, and 1 year for the third offense.
