Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

Missing fingerprint evidence

In the box of evidence from a 10 year old case, the only fingerprint that was in the position to fire the murder weapon is missing from the evidence. This fingerprint doesnt belong to the convicted man. Is there any place that may have a copy of this fingerprint. We have contacted the TBI, the lawyers, and the courthouse where the trials took place and no one knows or is willing to help us locate it. Could you give me any suggestions on how to locate the fingerprint. We are desperate to find it.

Try with the court reporter and the court clerk... also try the fingerprint expert who examined the print and see if there were any copies made of the print to help with the expert's analysis.
