If I was shot by drive by shooter, but I have an exiting warrant myself whats the chance of police looking my name up to see if I do while they are investigating the shooting?

Very likely. Not only will the investigating officer/detective probably run a background check on you (to include a "Wants and Warrants" check on NCIC), you can bet that any reasonably dilignt defense attorney for the person accused of shooting you will also dig into your background.

I suggest you contact your own attorney or the victim-witness coordinator in the DA's office and see if your warrants can be made "OR Bond" (since I assume you are recovring from your wounds) or issued as a citation (no bond required).
