Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Child abandonment & custody

My daughters father has not seen her since the christmas of 98 has not called wrote anything. She is about to start school (she is5yrs) and I was wondering what I could do to have his rights taken so he is not able to get her from school. The school has to have something legal showing he is not allowed to pick her up. Also he is on her birth cer.& he signed papers at the hos. but we were never married so would that mean neither of us have custody? Thank you

Re: Child abandonment & custody

Is the father paying child support?

You could and should go to juvenile court to file a petition to address both child custody/vistation and child support.

The court order you would get should address your concerns.

If you would like to discuss your case and your options, feel free to call me.
