Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Child Support Enforcement

Hello,

I am trying to enforcement my support case in TN from another State. My ex-husband currently owes me over 61K. Since neither state has been any assistance to me. How do I proceed in enforcing through a private attorney. Do I need to hire one in my state or can I obtain an attorney in TN

You can hire an attorney in the state you reside to register the order and enforce the terms of the order. How you proceed to enforce an Order through a private attorney is likely to depend on who you hire.

I suggest seeking out attorney who will handle the case on a contingency fee as opposed to an hourly rate. Thus the attorney is paid only if there is a recovery for you.
