Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Child Support Question

In my Marriage Dissolution Agreement it states about child support that..'' pay untill the child attains the age fo 18 and has graduated high school.

My daughter will turn 18 this month but will not graduate untill May 08.

Is he finished w/ providing her support this month or is he obligated untill she graduates in 08?

Re: Child Support Question

If this is a TN decree, I believe you will find that he is required to pay child support until she is 18 or until the graduation of the class she is in when she turns 18, whichever event occurs later. So if you are saying that she will turn 18 while a Junior in H.S., I believe his child support obligation will continue until she graduates High School. It is my suggestion that you run all the facts past a family law attorney in your area so you can know for certain. Best of luck.
