filing for visitation

My friend needs to file for visitation to see her kids about how much will ths cost her? Wll see need a lawyer? How does see go about doing this?At this time she has no visitation and a restraining against her to keep her from leaving the state of Tn?

Your friend doesn't HAVE to have a lawyer to go to court for visitation.... but there's also no requirement that you go in for a dentist if you need a root canal. You coulld try to do it youself. You would be an idiot, but you could try it.

Your friend nedd to get an attorney with a good deal of experience in custody cases. She should be able to get visitation set, and she should also be able to get rid of the restraining order preventing her from leaving the state. The court might properly order that she not leave the staet with the child, but I don't understand how the court could properly order that SHE not leave the state herself.
