Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Will a judge make me write a letter claiming fault for husband's bad credit?

My soon to be ex husband and I were married for 3 years. We bought a car in 2006, and both of our names were on the car loan; he was the main signer and I was the co-signer. He left abruptly last spring, and I lost my job, was depressed to the point to where I would have cared less about anything, and I fell behind on making the car payments. The creditors started calling, but he refused to make a payment. I was the only one who made an effort to get the payments caught up. I refinanced the car in January in hopes to get our divorce finalized, and now he wants me to write a letter claiming responsibility for his bad credit. He says he won't proceed with the divorce unless I do this. Would a judge make me do this since he was the main signer on the loan?
