Civil Summons

Received a Civil Summons from a Company that I have no knowledge of that said it was a debt from 1998. What if anything can I do?

Depending on the type of debt, the lawsuit may be barred by the statute of limitations. You should go to court and talk to the attorney representing the company that sued you. You should request (in writing) proof of the debt. Under no circumstances should you simply ignore the lawsuit as that could result in you owing a debt that is not legitimately yours.
