Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee

Personal property dismissal

I live in the st of VA,aug of 03, took a warrant for harassment against a former ex.Judge left the ''charge'' pending ,condition he stay away for six months. He told judge when questioned personal items he still had, worth $4200.Judge recommended ,attorney and he and I go in front of the clerks office, make a list of items to be returned. we did and he admitted in courtroom & to my attorney the things on the list.Judge did not put this on paperwork? We set a time and place for retrieval. I havent received all items. He now lives in TN ,filed a civil warrant. I thought case was cut and dry he admitted to having the items to judge and attorney in VA we had the list she wrote. He had attorney and they conducted a trial I was kind of in the dark? He lied, had his family saying I never owned any of these although he returned part of the list. I find out since the case was dismissed I could have appealed but time period has went by. I really would settle forthe one item that was my first mothers day present a diamond pendant. I had returned all his items prior and only wanted mine.Do I have other options now to get my items. Thank you very much for any help it is appreciated. I cant afford an attorney at this time. Any suggestions

Re: Personal property dismissal

Unless your case was dismissed with prejudice, you could refile the case for whatever part of the claim you still wish to pursue.
