What is the patient/cna(nursing) ratio for nursing homes in Tenn. In other words, how many patients should a cna or nurse take care of in a nursing home

I have not searched the TN statutes, or the code of state regulations, but that is where you will find the answer if the answer is a specific number or ratio. In most cases, however, the state only requires that there be a "reasonable number" of staff because the nursing homes have lobbied very hard to rid themselves of standards that include numbers.
