Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Tennessee

This is sort of a very stupid question, but It concerns me badly, I've been worried about it for 3 months, and can't find anything on it. Can you get sued for uploading music to youtube? As far back as 2 years ago? I've heard you can't, and can. Some people say you can't get sued for anything internet wise after a year.

What's the odds of me getting sued for uploading music?

As a Franchise Attorney I believe you are operating on misinformation. The statute of limitations for copyright infringement is three years from the date the infringement is discovered. If you are uploading music that is not yours, you are probably engaged in copyright infringement. Whether you will get sued is another matter. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
