getting fired

is it legal to fire me whille on short term disability in the state of Tn. I was granted full disability thru the insurance company but my job still fired me.

Possibly, yes it is. Generally, if your are eligible and your company is covered by the FMLA, then you have 12 weeks of leave. If not, then you are left to the mercy of your company's attendance policy. If the company's actions are consistent for its employees, then the termination is most likely legal.
