Lookin for help

I applied for a job and one of the employees where i applied for the job at called someone that i never worked for and asked information on my former employment. She discussed my entire application with her without my permission. Is that legal to obtain unknow information from someone who slandered my name but don't know anything about my work ethics?

Re: Lookin for help

It may be that you have been defamed. You would have to prove that statements were made and that the statements were false and were made with malice towards you. Additionally, in pursuing a claim for defamation, in some instances you have to show a specific loss attributable to the defamatory conduct. If you have these elements and would like to discuss your situation, you can contact our office at 901-683-1850 to arrange a consultation.
