Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Tennessee

delay of treatment

because of a delay in treatment of several months I now have permanent nerve damage which will cause pain for the rest of my life. Do I have any recourse against the V.A ? I have used the VA for all medical needs and had to wait 4 months just to get a mri scan done.

Re: delay of treatment

You may have a claim against the VA, but you have to follow very strict guidelines to pursue such a claim. In order to succeed,(among other things) you or your attorney will need to hire an apprpriate expert who can testify that the VA and/or its doctors deviated from the applicable standard of care and that the deviation caused your injury. You have filing deadlines to meet, so contact a lawyer immediately to discuss those and all other relevant issues.
