term - etux

the deed on the property owned by my husband and i uses the word etux. what does this mean? Does this mean this is his property now and if he dies this property goes to me or does it mean it is our property jointly?

Actually the word is two words -- "et ux" It is the abbreviated form of "et uxor" which means "and wife." It's sometimes used in wills or instruments to convey real estate.
