Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

My mother has recently passed away, can i obtain her records from her doctors just by asking for them or is their a legal way to get them...?

If you had power of attorney for your mother, the power of attorney ended upon her death. Legally, if you want her medical records you have to probate her estate and be named her personal representative in order to obtain her medical records with a medical authorization release signed by you as personal representative.
