Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

Power of attorney and signs rights away to an estate

My husband signed a power of attorney over his grandfather. At this time, my husbands uncle had just recently died and left a huge estate with no will found. My husbands aunt, sister of the deceased, went and coerced my husbands grandfather to sign away his rights. He said he wanted it split between his other son, his daughter and my husband. We were not informed that she took him up there, and he was 80 years old and the daughter says he was incompetent. Though he was not, if this is her belief, then why was she allowed to have him sign when we were not present? And if one of the heirs is the one who commited the crime aganist the uncle, i know he is disqualified from the inheritence but does that make his minor child eligible for his part?

Your message appears to be alluding to undue influence in a split family situation. These are always complicated cases involving intense scrutiny of the facts. I would suggest that you contact an attorney for an office conference.
