Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Tennessee

Wills

I have a grandson who was born to my daughter and her boyfriend nine years ago in the state of Tennessee. Father is on birth certificate and DNA was performed. Can the father's parents(grandparents) leave my grandson legally out of their will? The other grandchildren have been included but not my grandson. Does my daughter have a legal right to petition the grandparents estate to include my grandson?

Re: Wills

Unfortunately, in TN a parent can disinherit a child or grandchild. One does not have to leave a child or grandchild anything. So it would do you no good to contest it. They are within their right to do anything they want to with their estate. The only person that you cannot ever disinherit is a spouse.
