domestic travel

i am an overstayer from australia have valid passport but visa expired can i fly from austin to las vefas and back

It used to be that I would tell my clients that's it's ok to fly domestically even with an expired visa, but lately I can't say the same. If I were you, I would drive, unless you have applied for an extension and can show (if asked) receipt of filing.
