sale of firearm
My hunting partner would like to buy my pistol which I bought and is registered to me. Is there a legal process required with federal authorities for me to sell the firearm to my friend? I am not an FFl. It would be a transfer from one individual to another.

I am not aware of any requirements. I have sold several pistols to friends and bought them from friends. If you want, we can check for recent changes in the law; it wouldn't take much time.
