There is good and bad news with respect to judgments and bankruptcy. If you file bankruptcy AFTER a judgment has been entered against you, the judgment will unfortunately remain on your credit report. However, the good news is the amount of money you owe will be discharged (eliminated) if you file bankruptcy and successfully complete your case.
