Can judgement be filed with chapter 7

If I file a chapter 7 bankruptcy will any exixting judgements listed with the filing be eliminated.

Generally, yes, but it depends on what kind of judgment it is because there are exceptions. For example, a judgment for child support cannot be eliminated through a bankruptcy. You really need to consult a bankruptcy attorney so they can advise you regarding each specific judgment.

First, you must list any and all debts in your bankruptcy schedules. This includes judgments. Most judgments are dischargeable. If there is a lien associated with the judgment you should try to avoid the lien. Also note that the terms of the judgment might affect its dischargeability.
