Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Texas

Mortgage and Bankruptcy

I filed a pro se chapter 7 bankruptcy on 1/31. Our 341 meeting is 3/10. Yesterday, I received legal documents from an attorney representing my mortgage holder. I am confused and worried about losing my home. I thought I just needed to continue making my payments. Why do they have to use an attorney? The papers state that their firm must be included in the Matrix and the other documents. I am confused.

Re: Mortgage and Bankruptcy

You really need to contact a bankruptcy attorney about this. Most creditors do not want to be named in a bankruptcy. It may that this creditor simply want's you to name him so you can negotiate a reaffirmation agreement. Or he may want the house to be sold in the 7. You need to hire a bankruptcy attorney on this.
