Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

abstract judgement

we live in TX; in Nov 98 a judgment was filed against us: we had no knowledge of judgment until 2001;tryed to appell;ran out of money to fight back; abstract filed on home title; creditor is out of business-can't find; how long will it take to have abstract ''DIE'' and fall off our home title?? Or does it ever ''die?''
