Co-signer
In 2000 I co-signed on a truck with my husband.In 2002 we divorced, he was ordered to refinance, he didn't. I am now being sued for 20,000 + lawyers fees by the credit union. He has disappeared with the truck into another state. What are my options? Don't I have any rights? Am I stuck paying this debt which I can't afford.

Since he was ordered to refinance the truck and failed to do so you could arguably move to have him held in contempt of court, and for reimbursment.
Court orders in divorce decrees are not binding on creditors. Sorry to say, you are stuck with it.

Your only recourse at this time is to seek a motion for contempt for his failure to abide by the court order. Since he has disappeared with the truck, it's going to be an uphill and expensive battle.
