Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

In Feb, I paid $3,000 to set up child support, but not much was done and now I want back what was not spent. My sons father was served but we never made it into a court room, and the lawyer drew up temp. orders, but never got them out to either of us to be signed. Now we are back together and looking at getting married and expecting another son in a couple of months. I have spoken to the lawyer about putting a stop to the suit and getting back what was not spent. She agreed to email me the forms I need to sign so I could print them, sign them, and mail them to her to have a judge sign off and her send me a check for the remainder. That was over two weeks ago, I never received the email and can not get her to return a call to me at all.

Where do I go from here?

Write a letter - a PAPER letter - no emails or phone calls - to the lawyer. Put a date on the letter. Keep a copy. In the letter, tell the lawyer that you would like to have an ACCOUNTING of how she earned the money and a REFUND of any money that she hasn't earned. Give her a time deadline - ten days.
