Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

This lady was supposed to sell me her business. I was not business savvy so I did not sign or ask for a contract. She lives in mexico

and took my money, and is now closing the store as fast as she can so she can get back to Mexico. What can I do to prevent her?

This is occuring now and she will have escaped with my 7500 check stating for purchase of business in the memo line if I dont do something quick. What should I do?

Any attorney will say you should try to cancel your check (stop payment). If that's not still possible, you need to see a lawyer as soon as possible to look into possible injunctive relief. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
