Remove name as Corperate Officer
My sister-in-law is listed as an officer of the company owned by her husband. She has never worked there and has nothing to do with the business. She recently began receiving letters from the IRS that the company owes back taxes. For future liability, she wants her name removed from the company listing as an officer. How do we do that?

She should send a certified lettter to the company at 1) the address of its registered agent (info available from Texas Secretary of State) and 2) the company's main office, stating she resigns, then be sure and keep the green cards.
