Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

remove a valid collection?

we have a debtor who wants us to remove the collection agency from his credit, so he can get a bank loan and pay us in full. He signed a updated amount promissory note, but wants us to sign something stating that we will remove this valid debt from his credit immediately so he can get a loan. Is this legal to remove a valid collection from a persons credit report so they may get a loan? And if we are not paid back, then do we lose our ability to mark his credit with this debt. Texas

Re: remove a valid collection?

Based on what you have written, it appears that the individual wants you to sign a written agreement that you will remove a valid debt off his credit report. There may be implications if you were to sign a written agreement stating that you are going to immediately remove the valid debt. You should consider contacting a local law firm to assist you with this legal issue. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Tina ([email protected]) to arrange for a consultation.
