Get the buyer's drivers license info so you can inform TxDOT that you've transfered title so you aren't in the system as still owning the car. You can ask this question directly to TxDOT and get more current information. Otherwise, get a cashier's check or cash or go with them to their bank and cash their check before you sign and give them the title and keys.
