Legal Question in Business Law in Texas

Starting a small business

I am starting a small business online only. I am looking to form, and need to know the best way, and also the type of business, inc., LLC, etc., that i should chose? I will be selling someting i have invented and would like to copyright what i have, how do i do that? I guess my question would be, what steps do i need to take before starting an online business to be legal and copyrighted for tax reasons and such? Thanks

Re: Starting a small business

This is the time to hire a lawyer to help answer your questions and get the foundation for your business properly set up.

If what you're intending to sell is an invention, then you should check to see if (1) it's patentable and (2) whether you may be infringing on someone else's patent.
