eviction for nonpayment

I have been served an eviction notice, without receiving a late notice or a notice to vacate! I have 5 children and have been behind, but I have always paid the rent, I have all my money order stubs to show my payments have been made around the same time evrymonth without any issues. I also have a receipt from earlier this month when my husband went in to pay the lot rent and the secretary told him that the new policy was that all money went to the house payment first then the lot rent, but my partial payment would stop all late fees, and then I received the eviction notice for the lot rent plus all late fees! What can I do!

Normally you have time for a hearing and the Judge may help ..but if not, have you both filed bankruptcy? if not..consider filing..contact Legal Aid..for filing as indigent..ie nt enough money etc...
