Slander/ Defamation of Character, Can they be sued?
Local Newspaper printed false information including a photo stating someone was wanted for aggravated armed robbery and parole violations, later to find they had printed the wrong persons name and photo. Could they be charged for slander/defamation of character?

Yes. Damages would depend on a number of factors, but certainly that publication can constitute libel and defamation.
