surveillance cameras pool area at condo complex

Can homeowners association Board arbitrarily place surveillance cameras at pool and cabana and party room area of condo complex??

It probably was the result of a vote by the Association. It is not arbitrary if they followed the rules. Remember, when you join such an association, it is like a small city..can make rules similar to laws..and you lose your privacy.

So go to meetings..protest..and lead to changes if you can get agreement from others..

You use the word "arbitrarily." This was unlikely an arbitrary decision, and was certainly approved by your board. In general, you should expect wherever you are nowadays outside of your house that you are on camera. That's what it has come to, and it is unlikely to change.
