Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas

my emails have been hacked and deleted. the ip address goes back to the town and state she resides. is this illegal? she lives in virginia, i live in texas.

If by"hacked"you mean she used the password you gave her, yes but no one will do anything about it. If she is a stranger, yes and you should report it to both your email provide and the local prosecutor for the jurisdiction of her residence, if you know it.
