Do you need to register in each state for a internet company?

I wanted to know if I need to register my business in each state I do my internet business in. I am starting a art site working with artist and cliential nationwide. Thanks

You are referring to what is usually termed "qualifying to do business" in states where your corporation is not chartered. The good news is that one generally must have a significant physical presence in a state before it is required that you qualify to do business there. So, if your business in conducted by telephone solicitation, Internet sales, or any other indirect method, you do not need to worry about qualifying to do business.
