Legal Question in Technology Law in Texas

Website Links

I found a service that can help home-based businesses get back $6,000 in taxes. This service is provided by a former IRS attorney. My question is: Can I show people where to find this website, charge them for the information? ($10.00) The website then in turn charges for their service. Is this legal and do I have to contact the website to let them know what I am doing? I want to make sure I follow the Internet Law or Business Law, which ever!!!!!

Re: Website Links

Sure you can charge for information. It is something of value. I make much of my living as an attorney supplying information on legal matters. Librarians make their money referring people to other people's copyrighted material. Your charge would be for directions to the information source.

I do not see a problem provided you do not pass off the information on someone else's web site as your own information. That could lead to trademark or copyright infringement liability.
