Home Foundation

I was recently informed by a neighbor that used to be a home builder that the company that built our homes cut corners on the foundation. We walked through my house and one that is in construction and found cracks throughout the homes. It appears that my house has begun to separate from the garage. Also, in the home that is being built there are cracks in the foundation that stretch the entire length of the house. I love my home, but I also don't want to live in a substandard house. What kind of actions, if any, can be taken?

It depends on how harmful the foundation issue is and when you discovered it and other factors. Pay for an expert opinion and then consult a construction attorney very soon, if your home's value is seriously affected by a poor foundation.
