Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

I am being accuse of theft? I read legal defination of theft. I know maybe what happen could been handled differently. A expensive bicycle was sent to my home by mistake. I sign for it took out box but side. They said they called my phone and email me and sent mail. My phone does not work. I check my email got nothing so far and no letter or certified letter. I read FTC where said this not right and it is only guide line where consumer are to be protected called the Texas number attorney general and they said that is only advice a guide. I am sending the stuff back as they ask.

my question is can i be charge with theft? What can i do prevent this from happening to others or my self and can they do any more damage to me which i feel they have as being accuse and haveing detective come to my home.

Don't talk to the police. They aren't your friends.

I'm telling you not to talk to the police, but you'll probably do it anyway, and screw up your own life.

DON'T TALK TO THE POLICE.

It sounds to me as if there was no "trespass in the taking," which means there wasn't any theft.
