Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Bought rolex watch

A relative of mine when to a jewlery store and purchased a rolex watch, she misconsived what the price offered to her was, she heard 35 being the fact that the watch is 3500, even though the documents she signs states that she only signed because of what she heard? At this point the only response I got was you can not return because she sign and altered, and that they say that she knew what she was paying and should have seen it when she was signing, but she did not comprehend it correctly. The assume that she knew what she was doing but clearly she was not. Is there anything that can be done?

Re: Bought rolex watch

She signed the purchase contract and she's on the hook for it. If she returns it for some credit, she may not be liable for the full $3,500.00. But she'll be liable for the $3,500.00 less whatever credit the jeweler may give her.

If she truly thought that she could buy a Rolex for $35.00 she shouldn't be allowed out by herself.
