Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Dealership advertised and quoted wrong price on car

Yesterday, I found a vehicle using Autotrader.com. 2006 Infiniti M35 Priced at $28,987, which was located at my local dealership. I called the dealership to verify and confirm the price since it was way below base cost, I spoke to the internet sales mgr. She confirmed the price and vehicle I was referring to was correct. I asked why it was so low and she stated it was low because ''the vehicle had been on the lot for a while and is priced to sell''.

Went to see the vehicle 3 hours later and they told me the price was posted on the internet wrong and is actually $38K. I had a print out and told them the sales rep confirmed the price and the vehicle. But they said there was nothing they can do since autotrader posted it wrong.

What can I do?

File a "bait & switch" complaint with the Consumer Fraud Div. of the state's Attorney General's office.
