Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Divorce

I am in Dallas, Texas, and I have a ''Service wavier'' in front of me to sign - in the ''Grounds for Divorce'' section - she has added Adultery as grounds , even though Texas is a no fault state.

We have been married lest then 5 years/no children/no name change – only house/interior, question: would these grounds entitle her to more then 50%? Thanks.

Re: Divorce

Either hire a lawyer to represent you or to review that Waiver. Some waivers do nothing except avoid the need for service of process. Other waivers allow the other party to proceed however they wish, with no further notice to you.

An uncontested divorce normally does not allege grounds for the divorce.

Be careful.
