Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
My friend was purchasing a car through an in-house finance lot. She let her insurance lapse and was in an accident with someone (thier fault) who also does not have insurance or a license. What can the car lot do to her ? (she owes about $4,000,but has no money). The car is currently in a salvage lot should she call the car lot and let them know where the car is and that it was wreck? What are her options?

Based on what you have written, your friend needs to review the terms of her agreement for the purchase of the car. Generally, within the agreement it will state what happens if she does not keep insurance on the vehicle being purchased.
